Set among a dramatic cluster of boulders in Canyon Pass at Dove Mountain, Boulder House makes its immediate surroundings part of the interior experience. Its low, contemporary profile sits against the rocky hillside, with a restrained palette of stucco, wood and glass allowing the natural setting to remain the focus.
Inside, long windows frame close views of the boulders beside the kitchen, turning the landscape into a defining feature of an everyday space. Wood cabinetry and a plank ceiling bring warmth to the open living areas, while a linear fireplace and clean detailing maintain the home’s contemporary character. Large sliding doors connect the great room directly to the pool terrace.
The 3,550-square-foot plan includes three bedrooms, three and a half bathrooms and an office. The primary suite continues the connection to the outdoors through terrace access and bathroom windows that bring in desert views.
Outside, the pool and spa sit between the nearby boulders and the more distant horizon. Mountain and city-light views give the home a changing outlook from daylight into evening.
